Who we are
Muthomi Mutiga & Co Advocates ("the firm", "we") is an advocates practice based in Nairobi, Kenya, and is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. You can reach us at info@muthomimutiga.co or +254 799 157 696.
What we collect
When you contact us, book a consultation, or subscribe to the Horizon Brief, we collect the information you provide (such as your name, email, phone number, and the details of your enquiry). When you browse the site, we collect limited, privacy-respecting analytics (page views and referrers) that do not identify you personally.
Why we collect it
To respond to your enquiry, provide legal services you request, send you the publications you subscribe to, and improve the website. We process this data on the basis of your consent, our legitimate interest in running the practice, and, where you become a client, the performance of our engagement.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers that help us operate (such as our email, scheduling, and analytics tools), each bound to protect it, and where the law requires disclosure. Communications with the firm in the course of seeking legal advice are protected by advocate-client privilege.
How long we keep it
We retain enquiry and client data for as long as necessary to provide our services and to meet our legal and regulatory obligations as advocates, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act 2019 you have the right to access your data, to correct it, to ask us to delete it, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these, email info@muthomimutiga.co. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner.
Cookies
We use only the cookies necessary to run the site and to measure traffic in aggregate. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

We may update this policy as the firm or the law changes. The date below reflects the current version.
This policy is regulated by, and should be read alongside, the firm's obligations under the Data Protection Act 2019 and the Advocates Act. Regulated by the Law Society of Kenya.
